In September 2018, homosexuality was made authorized in India.

Earlier than that, Part 377 of the Indian penal code was in place, a legislation imposed on Indian residents throughout British occupation.

It penalised intercourse “in opposition to the order of nature” with a sentence of life imprisonment.

British Asians inform BBC Information how the repeal of the laws has impacted them.
